Reorganized one person HR office that had had 5 managers from ’06 to ‘08 Negotiated insurance for international ground staff & head office personnel for world-wide travel Negotiated world-wide short and long-term international insurance for volunteers Negotiated property insurance and head office health insurance within U.S. Maintained all qualifying staff’s coverage for Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Long- Term Disability Counseled non productive and/or disruptive staff Was part of all annual review meetings, took notes, and ensured that executive management produced goals for staff to accomplish before the next round of evaluations Took four courses (AMA & RAFFA) regarding Personnel Policy and operating within the new laws Presented multiple seminars times to stateside and international staff, on “Interviewing Skills as a Tool and Not Just a Gut Feeling” Maintained and updated all forms for new hires, promotions, awards of merit and dismissals Maintained employee database, tracked and recognized employment anniversaries and promotions, distributed collected/filed and updated all related vendors that this effected, i.e. off-site payroll Handled all job-related inquiries on previous staff Handled arrangements for staff and volunteers when bodily harm occurred while on project in emerging and fragile markets, dealt with evacuation to nearest American standard hospitals, communicated with insurance, family members and executive staff Monitored ordering of supplies, reducing costs three years in a row from over $12,000 to less than $3,000 Oversaw staffs entering time into electronic time sheets, and made corrections and approvals as required Planned company social events
