Daily Duties at Chrysler Financial:
IT Application Manager (01/2005 – 04/2009) Challenge: Manage a portfolio team of system analysts (employees, contractors, offshore) and business analysts. Oversee support of retail, lease and wholesale business across US, Canada, Puerto Rico and Mexico. Manage $2.2 million resource and software budget and all lease SLA’s. Action: Collaborated with the business units assessing the needs of the portfolio staff in order to define, modify, and implement continuous modifications to the IT portfolio systems. Result: The implementation of a process for the orderly, continuous updating of the system across 200+ projects so the organization could be nimble and responsive to changing conditions. IT Financial Systems Lead (05/1999 – 01/2005) Challenge: Supervise up to 10 employees and contractors and lead strategic initiatives involving SAP technology to facilitate financial reporting, data warehousing functionality and forecasting. Action: Directed related logistics, including programming, conversions, hardware setup, interfacing and reporting. Served as key facilitator between technical staff, functional business leaders and senior managers. Provided help and support to the team members and arranged training programs for them. Result: A successful consolidated financial data system on one platform. Senior Programmer/Analyst (12/1997 – 05/1999) Challenge: Implement and support mainframe accounting software within the company’s financial department. Action: Responsible for the daily operations of the financial accounting systems, coordinated software and application upgrades, and acted as the administrator in performance tuning, trouble shooting, and creating queries to resolve application issues. Worked with the accounting and purchasing departments to educate, direct, coordinate and implement the action plan. Provided 24x7 on-call support for the mission critical financial applications. Result: Accounting system upgrades implemented on time and within budget.
