Daily Duties at Stevens Institute Of Technology:
My major daily task is to develop data mining and machine learning algorithms. Specifically, I developed the incremental learning algorithm to identify characters in YouTube clips. I also developed the imbalanced learning algorithm for data set where one class of data is of particular interest but is over-dominated by the other classes of data. Both algorithms have been reported on high-profile journal publications. Besides the fundamental algorithm study, I was actively engaged in applying machine learning techniques for solving real-world problems. For instance, I developed several neural network models to identify unauthorized over-the-air users in communication channels.
