Daily Duties at Sprint:
• Provided software installation and troubleshooting support, provided software support in using software tools and one-on-one training when necessary. • Ensured customer dedicated account systems are running at peak performance, including prompt troubleshooting and resolution of issues, and proactively analyzing systems to prevent downtimes. • Carry out technical evaluations of hardware and software and documented reports of the results • Developed documentation to support the use of hardware, software, and telecommunication products. • Worked independently or as a member of a team in a variety of roles from providing assistance to assuming task leadership. • Created the procedures required to manage an 800+ server network including Operating System management, testing, validation and implementation. • Administered over 400 Windows 2000 servers located in Sprint Data Centers across the country via Terminal Services Remotely. • Used IIS to administer ftp sites and web pages. • Supported Microsoft SQL 2000 Server • Troubleshoot and fix problems with Exchange 2000, Citrix 1.8, Citrix XP and Microsoft SQL 2000 • Troubleshoot network issues to pinpoint problems with communication to and from Windows 2000 servers • Worked tickets in a Remedy ticketing system. • Performed routine maintenance of all servers • Performed change request at request to customer • Supported and Implemented Active Directory for Windows 2000 Advance and Datacenter server • Migrated Windows NT 4.0 Directory Services to Windows 2000 Active Directory • Installed and maintained Mcafee Antivirus Corporate edition for Servers and Clients. • Administered 100 plus Dell and Compaq servers with Windows 2000 Server and Citrix Metaframe 1.8, Responsible for account creation, server integration, troubleshooting and maintenance • Diagnosed network problems involving protocols, proxy servers, and connectivity issues with Netcool. • Troubleshoot server, routers and switch problems with HP Openview and Tivoli. • Responsible for remote control desktop support and backup using Legato software • Performed as Single point of contact for Implementation Decisions • Performed Conference calls with several fix agents to resolve severity 1 and severity 2 ticket issues • Trained analyst in the operation of the REM package, which includes Vantive, and Bessy • Trained analyst on the use of Microsoft TechNet • Operated at third level support in Remote Operations Center • Configured VPN remote access for all Windows 2000 Server Configured Windows NT Terminal Server
