I created file transfer solutions for DFAS for importing data from and exporting data remote sites using MS SQL Server Data Transformation Service (DTS) packages, SQL Server scheduled Jobs, SQL Server stored procedures, operating system batch files, and File Transfer Protocol (FTP) programs. I was able to configure the FTP processes to be parameterizable (e.g. FTP Login and File Names) and updatable by the customer instead of being hard coded as part of the FTP application. As part of the implementation, wrote a recursive stored procedure for updating SQL Server table with downloaded data
