Daily Duties at Cs Communication & Systems Canada:

• Design, coding, debugging and hardware/software integration testing of the Operating System of the electronic engine controller (FADEC) for PWC 610 engine (mission for Pratt & Whitney Canada at Hispano-Suiza Canada) - Resolution of bugs found by testers - Proposing solutions to problems raised by problem reports and testing solutions in laboratory - Modifying documents such as SDD, SRD in order to reflect code changes • Environments and tools: DO-178B level A, C, Assembler, PowerPC, Green Hills Probe, PVCS, Windows NT, EEC Monitor • Development of the Graphics Image Processor Software (GIP) of the Integrated Instrument Display System for the Sikorsky S76 C++ helicopter based on the customer’s requirements and specifications and updating necessary documents - Code modifications in order to display new messages, new symbols, color changes at new threshold, according to client’s new requirements - Updating SDD, SRD for the GIP software • Environments and tools: Language C, Assembler, Windows NT, MS-DOS, WinCVS, DOORS • Design, implementation and documentation of software integration tests on Control Laws Application Software (Control AS generated from SCADE) and AS Interface of the electronic engine controller FADEC for the Pratt & Whitney Can Engines 535B, 610 and 615 based on Software Requirements Documents (SRD) in an effort to certify the FADEC’s software under DO-178B level A - Modifying (reuse) the existing AS control laws from other engines in order to make them new AS for PWC615 and 610 (modifying according to SRD) - Generating Control Laws AS C code from SCADE schematics - Extracting requirements from SRD and regrouping similar requirements - Writing test cases (each test case to test a group of requirements) - Writing RTRT script for each test case and testing - Documenting test results • Environments and tools: DO-178B, RTRT, SCADE, Matlab/Simulink, LDRA • Design, implementation and documentation of software unit testing on Generic OS and AS Control Laws of the PWC 615 electronic engine controller based on Software Detail Documents (SDD) in an effort to certify the FADEC’s software under DO-178B level A - Writing RTRT script, according to SDD, to run the code in order to obtain 100% code coverage and 100% MCDC (modified conditions, decision conditions) coverage - Documenting test results • Environments and tools: RTRT, WinCVS • Drafting of certification documents (SBR, SRD, SDD) based on higher level documents - Using DOORS to modify the documents and also to ensure requirements’ traceability between those documents and higher level documents such as system requirements document • Environments and tools: DOORS, Microsoft Word
