Daily Duties at Caterpillar:
• Design & customization of the Application Software (AS code designed and generated from Matlab/Simulink schematics) and of its simulation model (also under Matlab/Simulink) for the Progress Rail PR43C locomotive control module and genset (simulation of the LCM and of the diesel engine + generator) in Matlab/Simulink environment - Translating software requirements into Simulink schematics and generating executable code from those schematics - Making Simulink blocks which simulate the diesel engines and the genset and integrating them with the LCM Simulink blocks in order to obtain a simulation of the whole locomotive’s system • Environments and tools: Matlab/Simulink, MPC555, Vector CANalyzer/CANape, J1939 CAN Protocol, ClearCase, DCC (Design Collaboration Center), CATutils (Caterpillar Matlab/Simulink library)
