Daily Duties at Atlas America:

Handled specific land assignments of limited scope and complexity with an aim of securing land leases, rights-of-way and other related surface agreements for production and natural gas well exploration efforts.  Researched public real property records; analyzed and reported mineral and surface titles; identified potential title defects.  Communicated and negotiated with landowners in securing oil and gas leasing contracts. Maintained those positive relationships with surface owners.  Provided related support to Land Manager, including deed corrections, curative documents, title work and landowner problems and complaints.  Determined title opinions received from outside counsel and relayed those determinations to land agents.  Provided the training necessary for new hires having little or no experience in the oil and gas field.  Determined date of termination of lease rentals and created a plan to maintain those agreements.  Supported all departments as necessary.
