Daily Duties at Atlas America:
Handled specific land assignments of limited scope and complexity with an aim of securing land leases, rights-of-way and other related surface agreements for production and natural gas well exploration efforts. Researched public real property records; analyzed and reported mineral and surface titles; identified potential title defects. Communicated and negotiated with landowners in securing oil and gas leasing contracts. Maintained those positive relationships with surface owners. Provided related support to Land Manager, including deed corrections, curative documents, title work and landowner problems and complaints. Determined title opinions received from outside counsel and relayed those determinations to land agents. Provided the training necessary for new hires having little or no experience in the oil and gas field. Determined date of termination of lease rentals and created a plan to maintain those agreements. Supported all departments as necessary.
