Daily Duties at Inland Intermodal Logistics, Llc:

 Windows Systems: Designed and project management of Windows 2003/2008 Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter servers network including Active Directory structure for enterprise, file sharing, application servers, DHCP, DNS & terminal services (Windows Terminal Server) for remote locations using specialized software.  Exchange 2007 Enterprise: Implementation of messaging system for corporate enterprise. Migrations from Exchange 2003 standard for 6 companies/domains within the enterprise. Clustered environment to provide fault tolerance & redundancy. Implementation of ActiveSync System used for Windows Mobile devices. Built on Windows 2008 Enterprise Edition, R2.  UNIX/LINUX: Implantation & maintenance of SCO 5.07 UNIX, Red Hat Linux, Free BSD servers.  Data Center: Engineering & project management of new data center. Engineering & project management of redundant data center at a remote co-location.  VoIP System: Project management of VoIP voice system (Mytel) for Memphis operations—3 campuses & 2 remote offices, one site using FreeVoice VoIP.  WAN: Project management of WAN replacement from Internet VPN to MPLS WAN. Before MPLS used tunneled VPN/IPSec through Juniper firewalls. Maintained this existing network. Configured tunnel VPN for smaller offices not on MPLS cloud. Setup VPN system for telecommuters.  Configuration of Routers, TSU/DSUs & Firewalls: Installation & administration of routers, firewalls, layer 3 network switches including Cisco, Juniper, Netgear, Adtran, 3COM network equipment. Setup VLANs data centers & multi-campus locations.  Security: Auditor of IT security and direct Administrators to make necessary changes. Engineering & administration of Sophos Anti-Virus system for all WAN network nodes. Staff maintained all backup and archive of data for Windows and UNIX systems using Symantec Backup Exec 12. Oversight of monthly audits for backup reliability.  Messaging Security: Engineering & project management of new messaging structure that included installation of front end spam/virus filtration system. DCC server administration using Sophos cluster anti-spam appliances.  Blade Server Center: Installation of Dell Blade Server M1000 Center for replacement of all Windows based (Datacenter edition) & UNIX/Linux based servers in enterprise. Implementation of new Exchange 2007 Enterprise server & Great Plains Dynamics accounting server.  Virtual servers: Production with Windows Hyper-V. VMware setup in test environment.  SAN: Implementation of EMC fiber channel storage system used for Dell Blade Servers. Extensive use of EMC utilities for configuration.  Third Level Support: Highest level of issues & problem resolution for all nodes on network. Included all Windows & UNIX servers, email systems, network devices, printers & workstations.  SharePoint Implementation: Worked with programming group to implement SharePoint for work flow processing.  IT Building Project Management: Project manager of IT network infrastructure of building expansion of three campus, including the building of a trucking maintenance facility, fueling station, trucking depot, financial services company, data center, and trucking dispatch.  Remote Sites: Project management of new 5 sites & offices including workstations, printers, and LAN/WANS connectivity.  Staff Management: 3 to 4 direct reports of system, network & helpdesk administrators.  Vendor Management: Negotiate & manage all Telco vendors for voice/data network. Oversight of all vendor relationships & coordinated audits of IT purchasing with Administrators.  Budget & IT Expenditure Oversight: Budget management & authorization of all IT expenditures.
