Daily Duties at Advance Accounting & Tax Services:
Started this accounting & tax practice from ground zero and developed it into a very successful business with 130 monthly/quarterly business clients and over 200 individual tax clients grossing over $250,000 per year. ● Hired, trained and managed five employees in various fields including accounting, sales, marketing and administration ● Provided comprehensive accounting, bookkeeping, tax and payroll services to small businesses. ● Responsible for major projects in these areas: disclosures and monthly financial statements; reporting analysis and written reviews; budget administration; financial reporting for forecasting and category cost breakdown projections; payroll transaction management; scheduling of payments; sales support work included job cost presentations. ● Improve company’s' procurement, sourcing, expediting, and inventory control systems. ● Advised companies on converted and upgraded all filing, cash management, profitability, accounting and sales invoicing systems. ● Major projects and responsibilities included the preparation of federal and state income tax returns for individuals, LLC, partnerships, S and C corporations, and tax exempt status organizations. Duties for these various companies included: financial report analysis; corporate policy and accounting procedure compliance analysis; computer consulting on software/accounting conversions. ● Assisted companies on improving: financial statement and budget preparation for operations and development; analyzing budgets and projects; reporting and compliance; fixed asset reporting; developing and monitoring internal controls; collections and cash management; bank account reconciliation; payroll; contractor payments and records administration; monthly multi-state Sales and Use Tax reporting.
