Daily Duties at Habitech Ent. Inc.:
Complete design of the accounting system including, chart of accounts, processing of transactions, reporting requirements and internal controls ● Complete overseeing of the accounting department including the training and supervision of the 4 member accounting department ● Assisting the external CPA firm in year-end work including the preparation of the financial statements and income tax return ● Development of operating procedures manual for the accounting personnel to ensure consistent application of accounting procedures ● Preparation of weekly/monthly financial statements including profit/loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements ● Prepared budgets and projections; prepared weekly budget-to-actual reports on on-going construction projects and distributed to construction managers ● Developed system of internal controls to control cost of construction. ● Created a variety of spreadsheets and data bases to allow for more efficient, effective and organized manner of accounting ● Performed the complete accounting functions for four other businesses including a chain of five drycleaners, a transportation company, medical clinic and a concrete pouring company ● Processed the weekly payroll for over 30 employees including the payroll checks, weekly federal tax deposits, monthly state tax deposits and preparation of the quarterly payroll reports ● Calculation and processing of sales tax liability for the dry cleaning chain
