Daily Duties at Macy's Merchandising Group:
- Responsible for managing knitwear business $200M in volume 2008 from concept thru to delivery of goods. - Presented product during sales meetings and assisted buyers in placing appropriate assortments based on sales, margins, and market trends. - Participated in editing and merchandising product line to ensure selected styles best fit into brand concept. - Responsible for tracking and monitoring line development activities by developing and following a seasonal time and action calendar. - Created monthly selling recaps to determine any voids/opportunities and made specific financial recommendations which increased sales by 10% in 2008. - Responsible for finalizing all order details with Macy’s buyers and communicating to them any production issues. - Communicated all target costs and negotiated pricing with overseas offices and domestic vendors. - Responsible for managing and developing product assistants.
