Quality Assurance Manager (Beer and beverage aluminum cans Mnfg) Achievements: • Participated as team leader in several cost reduction projects, obtaining 25 and 30 % reduction in usage of inside lacquer, maintaining the quality of product. CpK of 1.33 or above for critical characteristics • Installed and started up automated line controls for backend spraying area. • Reinforced quality plans and program obtaining improvements demonstrated through quality audits scores from 42 to 89% first phase. Motivated personnel to continue working until minimum 95% score • Maintained plant regulatory issues within compliance with OSHA and EPA (Waste water and storm water discharges) requirements, among others. • Participated in the line qualification process to obtain Pepsi contract, which increased company sales by 35% Responsibilities and duties includes but are not be necessarily limited to the following: • Provided guidance and instruction to the Quality Department to ensure goals achievements, by also providing training to plant personnel. Kept plant and corporate management apprised of all quality issues. Reported, analyzed and followed up customer complaints. Helped developing and maintaining spoilage control program. Reviewed and recorded all defective material related data into associated data bases. Helped Production area on determining causes of non-conformity and operating or production problems. Participated actively in Health and Safety Committee (Coordinator) to promote Safety awareness throughout plant • Maintained accurate mill claims for all suppliers. Generated monthly reports to detail activities in the plant. Coordinated plant audits on a regular basis, reinforcing completeness of action plans. Created and managed the calibration and maintenance program for all gauges
