Coached Social Studies teachers in 2 NYC high schools to assist each teacher build students' study skills, test taking ability, college and career awareness, conflict resolution, and social skills Designed and presented professional development workshops to encourage teachers and administrators to use established instructional techniques in other grades and classes; raised the average passing rate of Freshman Seminar course from 75% to 89% Provided teachers with instructional strategies which were then implemented in classrooms; strategies led to increased student performance and higher test grades
