NWSWISSMATIC, Minneapolis, Minnesota ● 1981-2001 Toolmaker Supervisor, Tool Grinder, Designer Engineer, Tool Designer, Tool Room Supervisor, Wire EDM Programmer, and Machining Process Engineer for NW Swissmatic in Minneapolis, Minnesota (prior to 2001), Project Manager for all new part manufacturing set-ups, designing and machining all proto type automation machine tools, jigs, fixtures, and cutting tools. • Saved $18K and hundreds of hours of labor as well as attained greater ease of use and improved accuracy through design of creation of all work-holding tooling for wire EDM. Cut set-up times 40-50%, enhancing productivity and affecting profits from $300K to $1M annually, by engineering and building innovative tooling and fixtures to minimize tool and job changes. • Reduced dimensional and finish quality issues to 3.8/million from 1990 through 2001 • Constructed various machines tools for all 6 company departments serving key clients worldwide, such as IBM, Dana, and Honeywell. • Twice won national title of “Toolmaker of the Year,” earning recognition from company president, manager, and customers for unmatched accuracy, top quality, and increased productivity.
