Daily Duties at Caterpillar Paving Products:
Played a key role in production by devising and implementing procedures to reduce cycle time (TAKT), resolve ergonomic issues, and remove safety hazards for provider of paving products such as asphalt, soil compactors, asphalt pavers, and road mills. Contributed to design modifications of all products. Composed and compiled all standardized work instructions and Value Stream RANDY C. ARCHER ● Page 2 ● randyarcher54@yahoo.com Maps using Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles. Using Pro-E and AutoCAD, directed floor layouts, tooling, fixtures, line balances, and production quality. Applied root cause analysis and implemented necessary process improvements. Supervised floor employees, executing process improvements and resolving all safety and manufacturing issues. Led cross-functioning teams to investigate, mitigate, and eliminate quality issues.
