Daily Duties at United States Air Force:
March 1998 - September 1999: Inventory/Warehouse Manager. Supervised 10 personnel in four separate areas; warehouse, purchasing, equipment management and record keeping departments. I compiled / analyzed reports of sales, orders and inventory adjustments on a monthly basis. I created a computer database to track negative and positive inventory trends. Forwarded management reports to regional headquarters for analysis against other accounts throughout the Air Force. I counseled personnel on positive and negative work issues. Managed On-The-Job training program and developed standard operating instructions for new personnel. Prepared personnel schedule for additional duties. Managed amount of stock stored in warehouse and ensured proper storage conditions were adhered to for sensitive supplies and that warehouse space was maximized. I monitored the ordering, receipt, storage, sales and inventory of over 250 thousand dollars worth of supplies and equipment on a monthly basis. I arranged a contract with a commercial return company recouping more than 100 thousand dollars for the Air Force that would have otherwise been lost to destruction. September 1996 - March 1998: Inventory/Warehouse Manager for a 28 million-dollar war reserve account. I supervised 13 personnel. On a monthly basis, compiled and analyzed reports of sales, orders and inventory adjustments. I coordinated the assembly and shipment of two war reserve packages in more than 20 sea-van containers. Responsible to ensure a complete cyclical audit of on hand material was accomplished in three separate warehouses, totaling 200 thousand square feet. I researched inventory variances. During the last four months personally oversaw and assisted in the loading of 10 to 35 tractor trailers per business day; ensuring prompt shipment to the customer. I successfully estimated the number and types of vehicles to request for movement of shipments. I resolved any discrepancies involving amount and type of cargo to be moved. Our. September 1990 - September 1996: Inventory/Warehouse Manager. I supervised 9 personnel. I monitored the ordering, receipt, storage and sales of over 170 thousand dollars worth of supplies and equipment on a monthly basis. Decreased average supply order to receipt time from over 20 days to less than 10 days by ensuring proper purchase order follow-up and timely receipt processing. Moved account from number 10 in the region to number 2 by reducing inventory on hand by 50% while maintaining the same dollar amount of sales. Our team was awarded the Air Force Logistics Account of the year award for 1992. Our team was awarded regional account of the year for 1994.
