Daily Duties at Trader Publishing Co.:

Responsible for timely circulation of 40,000 copies of a free magazine published on a bi-weekly basis throughout a seven state region. Locate and contract vendors to deliver the magazine and maintain fixtures located on individual store properties. Ensure vendors complete delivery by obtaining route reports after delivery and by periodically checking routes for completion. Compile and analyze data on Excel spreadsheet comparing number of magazines delivered and number of magazines picked up. Adjust delivery amounts to minimize waste of magazine ensuring lowest delivered cost. Plan and organize routes for most efficient delivery flow. Contact store managers for potential new drop points and continually add and delete stores as required. Adjust rate of vendor compensation as required to meet the requirements of the route. Terminate vendor contracts for unsatisfactory performance or for convenience of company. Travel approximately 30 percent to attend meetings of other Regional Circulation Managers, check routes, and assist in building new distribution territories. Coordinate with magazine printer and trucking company to ensure timely delivery of magazine to drop points. Work within allowed travel, maintenance and payroll budgets.
