Daily Duties at L 3 Communications:
•Supervised and lead a department of 8 buyers and 5 Material Analyst in the production of Avionics Display units for various military platforms. •Establish preferred supplier agreements for long term programs with fixed pricing. •Develop kan-ban systems for hardware and electronic components. Instituted consigned inventory and supplier managed inventory programs that reduced personnel and administrative cost. •Successfully obtained recertification of L-3’s approved purchasing system with DCMA and DCAA. •Supported engineering in new program development with early supplier involvement reducing time to market for commercial programs. Participated in LEAN initiatives for new product development.
