Daily Duties at Usa Mobility:
Complete responsibility for maintenance and repair of a statewide network of transmitters and messaging switches, reported directly to regional technical manager. • Installed, maintained and repaired over 175 transmitters statewide, troubleshot all systems parts and repair as needed, averaging a 99% working time. • Managed spare parts inventory for all equipment • Installed and maintained 5 messaging switch facilities –which included all cabling and power distribution equipment, routers and smart modems. Ran usage reports and troubleshot any problems with Telco circuits to the switch facilities. • Managed various types of projects including: cost reduction evaluation, switch relocations, satellite migration, signal analysis, system conversions, scheduling and overseeing of contractors and procurement of parts. Also aided other technicians in NC, GA, IL, and AR to complete projects on time. • Attended meetings with sales team to present the technical aspects of the messaging system to potential customers and to resolve service problems with existing customers. • Care and maintenace of company assigned vehicle
