Daily Duties at Special Checks, Inc:

Owner/President/Sales & Event/Marketing Manager: Started and directed daily operations for a new venture which produced and sold a “Special Checks” coupon book-style publication to boost fundraising efforts for such non-profit groups as the Special Olympics and the D.A.R.E. program. Solicited non-profit support in the Oregon and southwest Washington regions, selling advertising and soliciting merchants for participation. Delivered a 33% return for non-profits as well as a zero cost community support opportunity for local merchants. Products rose over $1,000,000 for the local Special Olympics and D.A.R.E. programs. Became profitable in second year. Sold company for profit in 1997.
