Systems analysis, design, systems implementation, installation, documentation, and training • Linux/ UNIX administration for engineering and development groups for 40+ servers. • Performance tuning for backend Linux/ UNIX systems. • Supported Open Source tools library on Linux/ UNIX systems. • Involved in all phases of system procurement, requirements gathering assess systems that meet requirements, work with vendors, prepare RFF’s, and work with finance. • Collect requirements from system users, to provide feedback for future system designs and to meet the computing requirements of ongoing and future projects • Perform software and hardware installation, updates, and maintenance. • Manage data backup systems initially based on tapes using Legato Networker on a SOLARIS server. • Developed disk based backup system based upon Open Solaris and BackupPC. • Assisted in developing automated software installation and monitoring tools. • Analyzed and solved customer problems. Reacted quickly to customer needs. • Assisted developers and users with performance monitoring. Isolated system performance bottle necks. • Performed system and network security audits. • Supported Active Domain and Exchange email systems. • Supported Windows and Linux desktop/laptop. • Supported and deployed JIRA, SVN, Bugzilla, Track-IT company wide. • Moved Vmware servers from Vmware server to ESXi. • Maintained Vmware servers. Built images as required. Supported all VMware environment company wide.
