• Member of administrative team for Linux systems, 3000+ Node Linux cluster. • Support users of Linux/ UNIX systems; Analyze and solve customer problems. React quickly to customer needs. • Support Open Source tools library on Linux systems. • Support UNIX based Veritas Netbackup backup system. • Assisted developers and users with performance monitoring. Isolate system performance bottle necks • Monitored and maintained jobs on cluster queues. • Responsible for systems analysis, design, systems implementation, installation, documentation, and training • Involved in all phases of system procurement, requirements gathering, assess systems that meet requirements, work with vendors, prepare RPF’s, work with finance • Collected requirements from system users, to provide feed back for future system designs and to meet the computing requirements of on going and future research projects • Assisted in supporting systems and users in a Linux based network. • Perform software and hardware installation, updates, and maintenance. • Assisted in developing automated software installation and monitoring tools. • Responsible for system and network security audits
