As software developer and system verification engineer, designed, developed, integrated, tested software features for DDM-2000/DMX 2.5G SONET Add-Drop Multiplexer The work was done in pSOS+ environment using c, XRAY+ source-level debugger. Also, started my career at Bell Labs as a reliability engineer for D5 Channel Bank. Major Contributions • Designed, developed, and integrated many software features for DDDM-2000 and DMX2.5G OC-1, OC-3, OC-12, and OC-48 Interfaces. Developing these features included work in: Performance Monitoring, Fault Detection and Isolation, Alarm, Provisioning, cross-connects, protection switching, Device Level Routines. • Led team of developers in software design effort for the new IMA LAN circuit pack. I took full ownership making job assignments among the team and coordinating the efforts of each team member. In addition to the leadership role, I was hands-on and was involved in development effort. Acted as Single Point Of Contact with System Engineers, Hardware Designers, System test and outside suppliers to identify and resolve issues as fast as possible. • Developed the software for the Plug-In Emulator to support development and testing of hardware dependent complex real time application code without having "real" hardware available. This tool has enabled us to absorb months of hardware slips, in a number of projects, without affecting the planned software delivery dates. • Developed CQM (Capability Quality Metrics) which is a software tracking tool during development. CQM is actively used by DDM-2000 and FT-2000 (OC-48 Interface) and is fundamental in meeting our shipping standards. • Performed system verification (software and firmware) in both Linear and Ring DDM-2000 releases in areas such as Performance Monitoring, Provisioning, TL1. Saved time and resources by developing automated scripts, improving test efficiency. • Performed reliability evaluation and prediction, reliability budgeting, life cycle cost analysis, sensitivity analysis, sparing guidelines, system reliability and functional architecture analysis, generating reliability objectives and requirements, performance analysis for D5 Channel Bank. Also performed analysis of failure data, and field tracking studies.
