Daily Duties at Eds:
MVS Operator: Monitoring of production batch jobs and system resources using available tools and applications. Monitoring of the physical environment. Bringing abended jobs online by recoding the JCL. Data Control Clerk: Assistant team leader: Lined the personnel out for the daily work assignments, trained personnel to operate the robotics, entered data on a daily bases on a spreadsheet on the LAN system, formatted and ran tape headers, regulated the flow of scratch and live tapes within the silos and outside drives by loading and unloading StorageTek silos and Memorex drives with 18 and 36 track tapes. Various console commands along with TLS, CA-1, and ISPF were used to perform my job on a daily bases.
