* Accountable for managing/training 6 direct reports, developing agency procedures, maintaining appropriate staff coverage, and developing business through referrals and various networking events. * Developed marketing strategies (based on client risk profiles) and presented formal insurance proposals. * Interviewed prospects to assess their needs, collected risk/underwriting information, and analyzed their existing insurance programs for deficiencies. * Created a strategy to ìround outî existing client portfolios and recommend coverage enhancements. * Served as the agency-wide key manager (and on other special project teams) to improve communication, process, culture, and efficiency at the agency. * Met with new carriers to determine strategic relationships at the department and agency level. * Facilitated the development of a mentorship and training program for new and existing employees. * Formulated an annualized budget and managed expenses to meet all revenue/profit goals. * Point of contact for the Specialty Commercial division for carrier/wholesale representatives.
