9+ years managing Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) Traffic Engineering and Operations projects; directed intersection improvements and signal installations and served as Village of Lombard Traffic Engineer. NOTABLE PROJECTS: • Project Manager / Engineer: IDOT District 1 (Chicagoland) Signal Coordination and Timing (SCAT) Studies; compiled >9 years of signal adjustments encompassing 50+ closed-loop systems across >500 intersections: o Provided for changes during peak periods effectively allowing for the optimization of traffic flow; o Managed signal timing changes in order to optimize traffic operation during construction projects; o Used proprietary controllers Eagle, Econolite, Troconex and IDOT controllers NEMA, TS1/ TS2. • Project Engineer: IDOT, Districts 2 and 3 Signal Design Projects; performed comprehensive design and review of traffic signal installation and modernization plans within a defined area to maximize traffic efficiency. • Project Manager / Engineer: IDOT, Districts 2, 3, 4, 5 Signal Coordination and Timing Study; applied proven research methodology to ensure operation of arterials and intersections within acceptable levels of service. • Project Manager: Village of Lombard Traffic Advisory Contract; performed traffic impact and roadway improvement analyses and advised Dept. of Public Works regarding intersection as well as railroad preemption. • Project Manager: City of Joliet Intersection Improvement Project; oversaw addition of auxiliary lanes and new traffic signal, requiring interconnection to closed-loop traffic signal system and a lengthy approval process. • Project Manager: City of Joliet Traffic Signal Installation; planned and designed interconnection of traffic signal with two (2) adjacent signals, managed inspection, timing and internal training for monitoring software. • Project Manager / Engineer: DuPage County Signal Installation and Interconnection Project; facilitated the installation of a new traffic signal as well as coordinated interconnection to an adjacent signalized intersection. • Project Engineer: Will County Intersection Improvement and Signal Design; completed design studies, profile sheets and signal plans regarding 191st Street and 80th Avenue / US 45 as well as Weber Road and 135th Street. • Project Engineer: Oswego Village Square Subdivision Project; performed impact analysis, intersection design study, generation of roadway cross section and utility placement along Illinois 31 to optimize flow of traffic.
