Daily Duties at Harman Becker:

Supervised 36 multicultural operators in automatic insertion (AI) and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines for PCBA manufacturing in automotive amplifier industry. Developed or revised standard operational and working practices and observed operators to ensure compliance with standards. Responsible to appropriately staff and schedule departmental personnel to ensure production requirements are met while minimizing costs. Responsible for planning departmental operations by establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products. Administered the production schedule for the plant's processes to affect lower WIP inventories, more economical labor costs, JIT programs and better utilization of existing facilities. Responsible for ensuring production schedules are maintained and customer's needs are met by the effective management of the material flow in the plant. Assisted in production planning. Coordinate the production activities of the department with the rest of the facility and maintain schedules to achieve a high level of customer service. Identified training needs, helped to develop training programs and assisted in training of hourly employees. Established an environment conducive to employee’s participation and facilitate the development of self-managed work teams.
