Daily Duties at Nationwide Insurance Company:

Turnaround opportunity with personal lines liability auto and homeowner claims. Managed 100+ employees with over 9 direct reports.  Created and conducted a customer training program for managers to better understand and overcome their contact and service obstacles. After 11 months, improved customer satisfaction by 70%.  Negotiated with executive management and medical vendor to pay bills without reductions. I also negotiated product revisions with regional product department to adjust policy limit sold to customers which capped out occurrence exposure. These actions lowered average claim payment and avoided litigation costs. Over the course of 2 years the company saved an average of $2 million annually in loss cost and expense cost.  Established an operational objective regarding early resolution strategy on third party injury claims. Within 13 months, the operation was ranked top in the company to settle over 60% of third party injury claims within the same calendar month as reported. This was also a loss cost avoidance was a reduction of average amount paid per claim by 25% or $1.8 million over the same time period.
