Daily Duties at Open Country (Acquired By Microsoft) :
Startup - Leading provider of OC 3000: Remote system management and bare metal System provisioning for Linux and Microsoft Operating Systems. 40 employees, reported to the CEO. • Contributed up to 80% of the company’s license revenue. Closed global OEM contracts with Intel and Cisco and developed partnerships with Oracle, Open Source and SaaS companies. • Implemented SaaS and MSP model for our partners • Obtained support from Intel and then AMD to deploy the business model in India, set up Open Country India Ltd HQ in Bangalore, closed agreements with Intel & AMD resellers in New-Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. Replicated the model in China - Beijing, with Intel support. • Managed a team of 10 AE, 4 inside sales and 5 system engineers. Ran daily war room meetings for business forecast updates and critical issue discussions. General use of SFDC. • Multiplied product evaluations by clients and partners for stressing product readiness and organized bi-weekly reviews with product management and engineering.
