Daily Duties at Vitec Solutions:

VITEC Solutions, LLC (formerly IKON Business Solutions), Amherst, New York 2002– 2008 Senior Sales Representative / Sales Manager Develop solid, long-standing relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers in government agencies for a leading technology solutions and services supplier. Company offers critical support in the design, utilization, incorporation, and practical organization of IT environments. Support clients throughout the entire IT sales life cycle, offering the expertise necessary to answer initial technical questions, complete the ordering process, and provide strong follow-up to ensure total satisfaction.  Single-handedly brought in 80% of business in the past year, working with such well-known clients as Praxair, Moog, Rich Products, RIT, Kodak, and Xerox.  Skillfully manage a fast-paced, “road warrior” travel schedule, while developing and growing a significant territory in New York that encompasses Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and Albany.  Ranked #1 out of all outside sales representatives, making up to 100 cold calls per day on average, and identifying and penetrating possible new markets.  Continuously grow high-volume sales, exceeding quotas by more than 25% each month, with an average of $590,000 per quarter, by performing extensive prospecting through referrals and cold calling.  Successfully closed a $1.25 million deal, which was the largest in company history.  Known as the “go-to” person for questions regarding sales strategies and client advice.  Utilize creative problem solving techniques and proactive networking to overcome sales barriers, such as making contacts with organizations that display “no solicitation” signs.  Conceptualize and facilitate the closing of many major corporate deals with inventive strategies such as facilitating meeting between two C-level executives, which builds client trust and encourages discussion on additional technology solutions (up-sales).  Forecast future market trends and analyze relevant data, with a focused direction of business and revenue growth.  Negotiated vendor relations to secure monies for various events as sales incentives.  Developed sales presentation scripts for VITEC that conforms to meet the IT field.
