Daily Duties at Sunrise Medical, Inc.:
Reported to the Corporate Controller with total responsibility for the monthly financial reporting to the Board of Directors, including preparation of the management discussion and analysis and the management of the annual audit including footnote disclosures. • Developed global reporting package to provide better transparency and clarity to management and the Board of Directors, greatly enhancing the decision making process. • Interacted regularly with private equity owners, Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and outside bankers, creditors and other financial advisors. • Supported the financial reporting needs of the merger of the Custom Seating division, the tax-free spinoff of the $200 million Long-Term Care Beds division and the divestiture of the $20 million branded Home Medical Equipment product lines. • Led key initiatives that improved company performance measurement and timeliness of business issue identification including inventory turns and optimization of cash flow. • Created a team-first culture and cross-trained entire staff of 12 employees.
