P/L responsibility for a 230 employee business unit focused on security and safety that includes a small manufacturing plant in the Northeast and a software development complex in the Southeast. Cross-trained all personnel and created a matriced organization which delivered greater efficiency in direct labor utilization (10% improvement) and 25% cost savings of over $8M. Reengineered a product based organization with engineering and sales functions which delivered $70M revenue in 2009 and has a projected $113M base for 2010. Took to market a new product in June of 2009 and have grown it to over $22M in orders by year’s end. Initiated efficiency operations in Q1 of 2010 related to product delivery through a distributor program and centralized inventory approach resulting in another potential savings of $1M.
