Daily Duties at Brewer Automotive Components Inc:
• I assisted with a start up of BAC's Virginia facility. Start up included moving machines and product to Virginia. The product move resulted in reduced returnable packaging, 14 days was reduced to 5 days. Logistics was reduced from 2400 miles round trip to 450 miles round trip. • I had a direct role in the purchasing of manufacturing equipment from our parent companies in Germany and Japan. During this time period of rapid growth I took initiative to work with and build relationships with local machine builders. Combining concepts, technology, and methods from three different cultures allowed BAC to reduce capital investment for a typical machining line by 25% on a $1,000,000 purchase.
