• As lean coordinator I was responsible for getting our Virginia and Maine workforces trained in lean manufacturing. Training was done using both internal and external resources. A trainee was not considered certified until a group project was successfully completed. • One lean project resulted in the $300,000 per year in cost savings by eliminating 95% of all expedite costs for the Brewer facility. The training resulted in many other lean projects focused on scrap and helped reduce COPQ by $200,000 per year.
