Daily Duties at Electronic Data Systems:

MERGERS: Responsible for creation of Material Master Upload program via a BDC session, that utilized standard SAP transaction VD51 in processing the data. The companies’ enterprise planning system was on an Oracle database and had to be migrated onto an SAP system. Responsible for creating the Inventory Upload program via a BDC session using standard SAP transaction MB1C. The companies’ data was in several plants and had to be loaded into the SAP system with different movement types. Responsible for creating the Vendor Master Upload program using SAP pre-delivered routines in program RFBIKR00 to load the data. SUPPORT PACKS: Was responsible for modifying many custom programs that utilized BDC sessions and call transactions when support packs were installed. 4.6C UPGRADE: Responsible for converting some custom SD and some custom MM code for the 4.6c upgrade project. Modified code to comply with new syntax. Modified BDC’s to work with new screens. Worked with the client to ensure no loss in functionality or performance. REPORTING: (SD) Sales and Distribution: Added new functionality and multiple screens as well as taking the user directly to view documents based on cursor position. Created a new common program that our Billing Invoices and Order Confirmations use to send out the documents via email in a PDF format directly out of SAP. Recommended a software package that is compatible with SAP with minor modifications to the SAPscript forms to print our document numbers with a Barcode. Worked directly with the Business Analyst to ensure accuracy and that the specifications were correct, these complex reports met their needs. (MM / PP) Material Management / Production Planning: Created a costed BOM report where the user entered in the parent material number on the selection screen then the report showed all of the components associated with the parent material. This allowed the buyers to see all of the components as well as the cost of each component and the availability of each component. Several other MM/PP reports as well. (FI/CO) Finance and Controlling: Improved performance on Weekly Trial Balance Report by 60% from 57 minutes to 23 minutes. Modified our Lockbox process so that it would not process records that keep coming in from the Bank over and over again. Modified our Wire Payment program with additional fields, plus the layout was different then the Bank’s layout. Also utilized Workflow to send the data to the Bank. INTERFACES: Modified our Previous Days Bank statement Modified Wire Payments programs to utilize Workflow. CONVERSIONS: During the merger with another company I designed several conversion programs to Upload the other companies’ Vendor Master Material Master Inventory FUNCTION CALLS: Created function modules to automate our Picking, Packing and Posting process with the design of other team members. Positive Pay month end processes Previous Day Reports Wire Transfers. DIALOG PROGRAMS: Created a dialog program to allow the sales of extended warranties to our customers SQL: Standard SQL was used in some/all areas. PRODUCTION SUPPORT: Supported production support for SD, MM, PP, FI/CO on an as needed basis.
