Daily Duties at Maxtor Corporation:

REPORTING: (SD) Sales and Distribution: Responsible for maintaining SD Reports. Including adding new functionality and multiple screens. Performance tuning – changing multiple selects statements into inner joins Selecting data needed first instead of selecting a lot of data then deleting the unwanted data later. Modified user exits to allow for company based functionality. Modified SAPscripts as needed for additional fields and or screen alterations. ALV REPORTING: Created a returns process ALV report with drill down capabilities Including a summary screen that is summed up by the sold-to partner. A detail screen, that shows all the orders based on the sold-to partner and another detail screen that splits the order at the item level. Report had to be based on the document flow from transaction VA03. (MM) Material Management: Utilized a custom common email functionality to email PO’s to our vendors in a PDF format. The email functionality was originally created by me when working for EDS@Maxtor. See below in SD Reporting. DIALOG PROGRAMS: As a team member I worked on a project to where we worked on our common returns process. My role in the project was to create a dialog program that allowed the user to enter in sold-to and ship-to information on the main screen and the type of return it was along with credit card information for certain customers. The next screen allowed the user to add in serial numbers either one at a time or via upload (batch, file or multiple records). A sales order would be created using standard SAP BAPI’s and function modules along with a BAPI that I created for adding the serial numbers to the order. I’ve also modified several other dialog programs for added functionality. BAPI’s: Created a BAPI for adding serial numbers to sales orders created using standard SAP function modules. Create sales orders coming in from the web. Update standard SAP tables for statuses, prices and conditions to list a few. Several other BAPI’s as well. RFC’s: Create a delivery based on data being passed in from WebMethods. Picking the materials needed for a delivery created via WebMethods. Packing a delivery based on the delivery number and handling units (serial numbers) being passed in from WebMethods. Send data to WebMethods for a user to validate data from a bank run. Several other RFC’s as well. SQL: Standard SQL was used in some/all areas. PRODUCTION SUPPORT: Supported production support for SD, MM, PP, FI/CO on an as needed basis.
