- In charge of the worldwide trademark portfolio of Galderma that involves over 7’000 protections in more than 120 countries; acquiring, securing, defending and maintaining intellectual property rights (IPRs) in global brands; coordinating the creation of new brands (regulatory/trademark searches); - Managing a 2,5 million CH F global trademark budget; - In charge of the recruitment of the trademark team; - Obtaining significant discount from agent at INTA’s annual meetings (2005 and 2006); - Devising global processes to connect business and IPRs globally, e.g. branding /regulatory /marketing and trademark processes and local implementation of such processes; - Advising on complex contractual architectures relating to intellectual property rights in coordination with tax team to comply with corporate tax law; - Advising on various agreements relating to the pharmaceutical industry, and in particular asset purchase agreements, confidentiality agreement manufacturing agreements, distribution agreement, license agreement, assignment agreement, etc.; - Conducting legal due diligence of the intellectual property assets of foreign third party pharmaceutical/biotechnological companies; - Advising in coordination with the patent department on possible strategies to fight against the timely generic threat.
