Daily Duties at Geico:

I managed a fast paced schedule of appointments, using time management and appropriate technology. I served as principal front line investigator for claims of covered loss resulting from automobile accidents, resulting from mishaps, weather and unknown origins. I have 3 years of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level for a Contract Specialist. My Specialized experience is defined as experience monitoring contractor invoicing for payment, delivery schedules, and other requirements as stated in the contract, and negotiating contract changes. And is further introduced in the paragraph below; I Analyzed, investigated and appraised auto damage while giving world class customer service. I developed an estimation of repairs, contracted for repairs and gave restitution as appropriate. I would also monitor contractor (auto body repair shop, car rental facilities) invoicing for payment, delivery schedules, and other requirements as stated in my estimate (contract), and negotiate (estimate)contract changes. I followed up on any unforeseen issues and independently made decisions of further repair and or restitution. I was also called upon as an initial investigator of suspected fraud and communicated findings to Federal and Local Law Enforcement as appropriate. Further I Inspected, analyzed, and evaluated damaged vehicles to create a comprehensive and accurate estimate of repair, this estimate formed the basis for a binding contract with a repair facility. This often required travel to a vehicle location which may include tow facilities, repair facilities, dealerships, and customer locations. I mostly worked in a company drive-in claims center. I used computers to write estimates and interact with other company computer software. I was tasked to documents all aspects of claims investigation and processing. Followed company claims processes that accounted for a fair and accurate settlement, customer satisfaction, and cost management. I enjoy working with people, working around cars and trucks, and working with computer software programs. I am good at managing relationships in a fast paced environment and working under pressure. My strengths are communicating effectively with customers, vendors, and other industry inter-industry segments. I used my other strengths such as communicating in writing, negotiating in person and over the telephone, and decision-making skills and constantly developed and maintain ethical business relationships.
