Daily Duties at General Electric Infrastructure Aviation:
o Performed mechanical design from concept to installation of fully automated, non-destructive inspection systems for aircraft engine airfoils and oversaw efforts of up to 4 designers / draftsmen. o Awarded patent on break-through fabrication technique that made an X-ray C.A.T. scan detector design feasible and reliable. o Worked with visual, eddy-current, ultrasound, fluorescent penetrant, x-ray and infrared non-destructive inspection modalities and airflow measurement. o Designed tooling and fixtures to improve productivity of inspection processes and alignment equipment for setting up automated equipment. o Installed and debugged automated inspection modules on GEA shop floor and on U.S. Air Force Bases and trained operators and supervisors in their use.
