Daily Duties at Gaf Corporation:
Regional Engineering Manager – Dallas, TX Office Managed corporate driven projects at any of 30 facilities nationwide. Staff included 5 Project Engineers who proposed, negotiated and managed projects in a cradle to grave capacity. Notable accomplishments / responsibilities included: • Initial capacity was as a Project Manager but was promoted to Engineering Manager after 6 months. • Developed, designed and implemented numerous successful projects at various locations. • Instrumental in the design, proposal, presentation and completion of the company’s first “State of the Art” synchronous drive system. The system remains the company, and roofing industry, standard. • Project Manager responsible for process design of a new product that was a radical departure from conventional roofing systems. The project also included site selection with rigid criteria including: access to local highway, electrical service capacity, fire protection water delivery capacity, and natural gas delivery capacity as well as adequate square footage and appropriate zoning restrictions under California regulations. • Managed / mentored the actions of 5 Project Engineers executing the company’s capital budget in excess of $60MM.
