Daily Duties at Motorola:
Assigned as a project leader for the iDEN DSP group to ensure projects remain on time, issues and defects are handled efficiently, and to maintain project documentation. Led meetings with the project group as necessary to help facilitate those objectives. • Managed DSP project for a new high capacity transcoder card for the Harmony Communications Group. Each milestone of the project was met on-time or ahead of schedule with only one defect sourced to system test. No defects were found during limited customer release or general release. • Led teleconferences with St. Petersburg, Russia three times a week to complete the DSP development for the new high capacity transcoder card. • While managing the high capacity transcoder card project for the iDEN DSP team, wrote and tested automation software for the Harmony Communications test team to test the integrated echo canceller capabilities. This allowed them to meet their milestones for system test. • Completed new base radio projects for the DSP team to reduce dropped calls in fringe areas while maintaining the best audio quality possible under the signal conditions. Conducted lab readiness including redesigning lab to allow for an additional setup for testing multiple conditions. Redesigned automation software using LabView to accommodate this new testing. Trained additional engineers on the use of LabView for automation purposes.
