Daily Duties at Cae Tech:

Contracted to Ford Motor Company, Dearborn MI -Resolve craftsmanship issues on the Windstar (Freestar/Monterey) and Thunderbird. • Reviewed and tracked craftsmanship issues including fit and finish, surface quality, packaging, and robustness issues. • Supported the international launch of the 2004 Ford Freestar/ Mercury Monterey for six months at Oakville Assembly Plant in Oakville, Ontario from prototype builds to Job 1. o Developed roadmap to resolve craftsmanship issues to meet program Vehicle Quality Level targets. • Over 400 issues resolved and met quality target before Job 1. • Consulted by program management launch team and engineers whether parts were at acceptable craftsmanship quality level. • Reviewed CAD data and prototype parts to identify possible gaps, component mismatches, packaging and surface issues. • Initiated corrective engineering solutions for craftsmanship issues. • Identified and tracked seat craftsmanship issues and reported to seat engineers and to management. • Lead and support the craftsmanship roadmap to improve Thunderbird interior and exterior components. • Managed and coordinated CAD resources. • Interfaced with program management to resolve craftsmanship issues. • Responsible for class-A surface feasibility for door trim and other interior trim as a design engineer.
