Daily Duties at U.S.Foodservice:
Oversee the distribution of foodservice goods to clients in 8 states. This was handled with a fleet of 95 trucks, 114 drivers and 36 warehousemen in a Union environment. I have extensive experience in computerized logistics from raw orders to final shipping of goods. This included driver assignments, backhauling from vendors, full procurement of order picking, loading for delivery, Kronos, Xeda and RoadNet. Along with those duties, I was responsible for making the required monthly budgets for transportation and warehousing both in labor stats and daily operational stats. Due to the nature of this business operation, cleaning processes were that of CIP due to the high volume of goods shipped in and out. This process was highly adopted by ASI, ASF, FDA, state and local health boards. Safety programs and DOT programs were also implemented for the safety of the employees and to stay within the governmental regulated guidelines of a safe work environment. I also have extensive knowledge of MS word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook. Many of these programs were used to enhance communication throughout all of the company's department channels.
What they like about U.S.Foodservice:
Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
