Daily Duties at U.S.Foodservice:
My primary responsibility was to ensure the prompt and efficient daily shipment of foodservice product to customers within specific dispatch parameters. This was conducted within a union environment utilizing 60 warehouse associates and general warehousing staff. I was also responsible for the performance of 4 supervisors and 3 clerical/data processing staff. My responsibilities with the staff included the mentoring and evaluation of their performance. I was able to effectively demonstrate an increase in productivity by 20+ basis points and an overall reduction in expenses without the compromise of safety or quality. My other duties included but were not limited to achieving and surpassing weekly, monthly and quarterly financial goals within my area, meeting with vendors and the negotiating and implementation of initiatives to promote a more effective system and enhance customer satisfaction. The training component of my position incorporated the use of Voxware Voice Logistics and Red Prairie Logistics, both of which went to further develop the quality of service offered to customers and to enhance further overall total quality management (TQM) and efficiency.
