Daily Duties at C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc:
My daily responsibilities for the selection and shipment of outbound goods to key supermarkets within a six state region. Working with a staff of 9 supervisors, 240 non union hourly warehouse associates, 6 data clerks, 1 training supervisor and 8 coaches, we as a team ensured the timely shipment of goods to our customers. Under my leadership, this had a profound impact on increasing our KPI’s, reducing overtime, staying below operating budget and building a successful team environment that further reduced injuries, absenteeism and increased total quality and satisfaction for the customer. I have a working knowledge of the P&L, ensuring we met all budgetary goals and metrics and maintaining strong KPI’s. Developed and executed formulas based on improving efficiencies and increased volumes without adding additional staffing. Reduced OS&D costs by 45% in one year further increasing the company’s bottom line. Other duties included are coaching, counseling and mentoring of associates, creation of safety committees and teams, monitoring of all light duty programs, daily reporting with 4 direct reports to corporate officers, enforcement of all sanitation functions within both buildings, weekly payroll, interviewing of all new associates and promoting and enforcement of all company policies and procedures. Meeting with customers to discuss any issues or areas of opportunities to increase customer satisfaction.
