What they like about Apdt:
Working for a company with an emphasis on social values and helping society is a clear and important priority for you - a critical factor in who you choose to work for. In contrast to other factors, you place an organization's reputation for fairness and concern for the community above most other aspects of the company. As you search for a new job opportunity, it is usually possible to find out if the company is involved in the community and/or if it is addressing problems and issues in society. Pay special attention to non-profit organizations and those specifically involved in social action. Moreover, speaking with current and former employees should enlighten you to perceptions of the fairness of the company's leaders and the treatment of employees.

How To Win Friends and Influence People | I read this book in college and learned a great deal from it (despite the fact that the book is considered by some to be 'out of date'). This book teaches the reader how to express ideas, to assume leadership, and to arouse enthusiasm in their workmates. |
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People | Excellent book on changing one's "attitude". As with most books in the self-help genre there are useful quotes from famous individuals, various philosophies, and collegiate research as well as concrete examples. In essence live your life based upon princ |

Look Homeward Angel | As a native North Carolinian this book was required reading in middle school. After graduating from college I re-read the book and was at once a fan of Thomas Wolfe. The great detail he uses in his writing brings to life the relationships and hardships |
You Can't Go Home Again | Simply had to follow up "Look Homeward Angel" with "You Can't Go Home Again"! this is undeniably an American classic. What is truly unique about Mr. Wolfe's writing is not only the intuitiveness that he articulates human thought and emotion; but just as m |
