Supervised the chemistry involved in the bleaching and finishing processes that included quality assurance, and the maintenance and modification of chemical formulas. Daily contact with chemical vendors. Special focus on the evaluation of new products for the enhancement of quality performance and cost reduction. Performed plant process audits in the areas of chemical storage, handling, mixing, process control, regulatory compliance, health and safety. Monitored and maintained environmental and OSHA compliance. Maintained equipment calibrations, training standards and quality procedures.
