Daily Duties at Chiron Corp.:
Characterization of small molecules obtained from the Drug Discovery group. Extensive studies determining pKa, LogP and Solubility using several different procedures. Protein Plasma binding studies of target analytes Analyze new, non-compendial drug candidates through a variety of analytical methods and instruments: Agilent HPLC 1100, Agilent LC/MS, Waters 2790 LC w/Micromass ZMD, Shimadzu 10AD vp LC, PE Sciex API 365/3000 HPLC MS/MS system and Finnigan LCQ Prepare tissue samples for high through put screening for proprietary drug candidates and metabolites. Interpret the results and generate reports Participate in weekly progress reports
