Daily Duties at Pak Tel:
Managed five business units’ activities in delivering of complex Telecom and IT solutions (systems engineering, development, network design, infrastructure and technical support). Monitored direct report managers and their staff job performance. Established Project Management Office (PMO) to manage all wireless equipment deployment. • Developed and managed overall project plans based on requirements, identified and obtained needed resources and skills for assigned project. • Managed deployment of business applications in financial institutions and banks; MS Exchange 2007, VMware, Citrix, RightFax. • Planned and deployed medium to large size of datacenters (SUN, Intel, IBM, Foundry and Juniper equipment) and hosting of major applications. • Coordinated efforts of preparation of customers RFPs’ and tenders responses; winning major government contracts valued between $5M to $20M. • Planned and deployed successful delivery of major undertaking of wireless products and services like rollout of 4 ZTE MSC’s, 30 BSCs, IN services, Mobile number portability (MNP), high capacity HLR and EIR. • Evaluated viability of schedule, and performed variance analysis (including schedule, costs vs. budgets, resources and changes to scope). • Generated executive reports for senior level management across the corporation on issues and risks impacting successful program implementation. • Helped assimilated project management processes, techniques, templates, and provided guidance on best practices to the Engineering department. • Ensured that developed methodology is practiced across the engineering department for repeatable success.
